In Honor of me becoming domesticated. Jenn is here to share one of her favorite Recipes. I can't wait to try it myself when everything is over and I can get into the wifey role.
Here is Jenn....
Hey Y'all! I'm Jenn and I blog over at Party of One!
I'm SUPER excited to be featured over here on Jessica's blog today!
So, since we are getting to know each other.... two things you MUST know about me are:
A) I'm (always) on a mission to loose weight
but....
B) I love (like really LOVE) eating great food.
Luckily, through the amazing blogs and 'pinners' I follow, I've discovered that there is a way to do both!
One of the first sweet recipes that I found after starting Weight Watchers that I just knew I HAD to try...was this AMAZING, EASY & LOW WW POINT cobbler recipe from Jennifer at Living a Changed Life!
This was THE easiest recipe I have ever made. Not only that but it easy it was ENJOYED by my entire family!
The complete recipe and instructions can be found over at Jennifer's blog.
Read below for my version of the recipe on how to make this amazingly delicious treat.
1) Purchase your 3 (YES, 3) recipes that you need to prepare this cobbler!
*12oz (or one can) of diet Sprite (or anything similar)
*20 (approx) ounces of frozen berries(any kind you choose!)
*1 box of white cake mix (no pudding in the mix)
(Well, 3 + the bottle of wine I found necessary for that evening...)
2) Lay the frozen fruit in baking dish
(9x13 suggested- mine wasn't quite that size but it worked)
NOW, here is where you can mix things up a little bit depending on whether you are going for a 'cake' texture or a 'cobbler' texture. I decided to go for the cake because I had read reviews of the cobbler texture being too powdery at the top. Jennifer's blog will give you instructions on making the cobbler topping.
3) Add the cake mix to a large mixing bowl & slowly add the 12oz of soda in.
This part was SO cool- the Sprite bubbled into the cake mix.
4) Once the soda has stopped fizzing, stir the cake mix together with the soda and pour over the frozen fruit.
5) Bake at 350 for approx 45-55min.
ONLY downside to this recipe- you've got to closely watch the cake in the oven. I had to add A LOT of extra time to get this to cook all the way through. Make sure after about 50min you're checking it every 5min or so.
6) Allow cake to cool and serve plain....or with some vanilla ice cream! YUM!
Some notes of mine:
- When I calculated this on Weight Watchers it's approx 2pts per serving! (Not including the ice cream)
-The berries were good but I think I would use a little less next time because of the size of my baking dish.
-I think this would be so yummy with frozen peaches! I'm going to try that next time.
Try it out when you need an easy & delicious dessert!!

Thank you Jenn so much for sharing this. I really can't wait to become a wifey and try it out myself. Maybe I can begin to share some recipes on the blog as we try them all. Here is to cooking more at home.
